Genetic locus for resistance to kasugamycin in Bacillus subtilis, ksgA, although formerly mapped to the right of cysA, was mapped between the guaA and cysA loci by three-factor transduction crosses. The ksgA mutants, Ksg-618 and Ksg-619, showed more or less the medium-dependent antibiotic sensitivity.
