Abstract

The activities of Gigaku Techno Park in Mexico (GTP Mx) are presented as a result of the international collaboration of Nagaoka University of Technology(NUT) and University of Guanajuato (UG). According to philosophy of GIGAKU, GTP Mx agrees with the triple helix relationship in academy¬industry and government cooperation. As focused on promoting the international experience of engineering students by utilizing the global international networks, short-medium international academic and industrial stays were implemented as part of joint research project between a university and company. In addition, regionally specific engineer training programs are effective for regional development in graduate study for cooperative academic programs as Double Degree Program (DDP) and undergraduate one for TSU, which is similar to Japanese KOSEN. Both programs specially contribute to produce globally minded human resources for Mexican industry in Guanajuato and mainly subsidiaries of Japanese automotive companies established in Mexico.
