Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many workplaces were forced to adopt non-traditional work styles and faced poor team functioning. In this report, we take up the case of Concur Japan as an example of a workplace that overcame difficulties despite falling on hard times. In line with the IPO model, we saw how (I) as an input, the leader's change in team management policy affected (P) as a process, the interaction within the team, and (O) as an output, the team's performance improved. It was suggested that a sense of group efficacy was fostered through the accumulation of positive feedback.
