Abstract

Living radical polymerizations (LRPs) enable to synthesize polymers with precise control of molecular weight, molecular weight distribution, and chain end structure. This third article describes the synthetic methods of block copolymers and end-modified polymers using the living polymer end. These methods enable to construct highly functionalized and well-defined polymer architectures, and would be useful for the production of high-valued functional materials.
