Acrylonitrile-Butadiene Rubbers (NBR) are obtained by acrylonitrile and butadiene monomer. NBR are typically produced by emulsion polymerization. NBR have been widely used as oil-resistant elastomers especially in automotive applications. In this paper, industrial production methods, properties and recent technical trend of NBR are reported.
