Historical Details about Investigations of Polymer Blends & Alloys

Abstract

The investigations of polymer blends and alloys had been initiated by a rubber blend of NR/Gutta-percha, during the first half of 19th century.
After that, SBR, HIPS, ABS, IPN and blockcopolymers have been produced one by one, and read to create various plastic blends and alloys.
On the first 20th century, "Polymer Alloy" was clearly defined as "Multicomponent Polymer". In this paper,the investigated process of polymer alloys and blends during 20^th century has been summarised from academic point of view.
