At first, 100years of history on rubber science & technology and rubber industry is reviewed mainly in 1925,1975, and 1995 to think about the present. Then, the author’s experience in The Society of Rubber Science & Technology related to Nippon Gomu Kyokaishi and its editorial board member are described. Some interesting topics like length of the paper and the meaning of the impact factor are pointed out related to the journal. Then, some episode related to the International Rubber Conference in Japan organized by the Society of Rubber Industry is described with real examples. Then, activity of Rubber Technology Forum for the future is introduced.
