Abstract
The effect of following catalysts on the graftpolymerization of ε-caprolactam onto carboxylic polybutadiene rubber was studied. The used catalysts were phosphoric acid, benzoic acid, triethanolamine and stannous chloride dihydrate.
Although all agents showed catalytic action, phosphoric acid and triethanolamine were the most effective among these agents.
Even base triethanolamine affected as a catalyst in an acidic polymer, on the other hand, the effect of the benzoic acid and stannous chloride dihydrate were inferior to the two formers.
