Abstract
The activity of ε-caprolactam on vulcanization was studied. The used rubbers were natural rubber, SBR #1502, NBR #1042, IR #305 and BR-01. The sample recipe was primary, that is, carbon black, zinc oxide, stearic acid, sulfur and some accelerators.
The ε-caprolactam alone showed good accelerative action, and better effective action when compounded with some accelerator.
Also, it was known that ε-caprolactam had a characteristic effect on both uncured and cured rubber.
