Abstract
Blend of polybutadiene and styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer was studied.
Unlike the usual case of blend of rubber and plastics in which physical properties change in “S” or “reversed S” shaped curves with blend ratio, the physical properties of this blend changed linearly or monotonously with blend ratio.
This may be due to the fact that a firm continuous phase is not formed because of their good mutual solubility and consequent fine dispersion which has been ascertained by an observation with an electron microscope.
