Abstract

A estimation about durability of CR rubber bearing pads, used as the shoe of prestressed concrete railway bridge, has been reported from the previous study of aging and static properties.
This report describes the effect of live load and environmental conditions.
It was supposed that compression set by live load in the extent of practical use was a little and increase of shear modulus by dead load was suppressed by live load.
Therefore the fatigue life of rubber bearing pads were estimated over 85 years according to static accelerating test even though live load and environmental condition added.
