Abstract
2, 4, 6-tri-R-1, 3, 5-triazine [I] containing antioxidant substituent (R=-NHC6H4NHC6H5, -OC6H4NHC6H5) was found to perform as an effective antioxidant not to decrease the crosslinking reactivity of the peroxide. The effectiveness of I was observed for the crosslinking reactivity of dicumylperoxide, 1, 1-bis (t-butylperoxy)-3, 3, 5-trimethylcyclohexane, and 2, 5-dimethyl-2, 5-di (t-butylperoxy) hexyne on the peroxide crosslinking of EPR, NBR, IR and EPDM. An excellent antioxidant property with the combination of a low volatility of I was proved on the thermal ageing of those crosslinked rubbers.
