Abstract
As for the eight-layer angle ply FRR composed of carbon black-filled rubber and 6-nylon cords as the base materials, the behavior of generating AE wave and the form of fractures in the process of fatigue were observed, and the fatigue life curves were investigated.
It was elucidated that demarcating stress K≈0.35, in the bias angle θ<35°, the transition from fiber breaking and fiber-matrix interface breaking to fiber breaking and matrix breaking, and in θ>35°, that from fiber-matrix interface breaking to matrix breaking occurred, and the fatigue life curve were composed of respective two curves.
