Inspection equipment for GPI Standards of OCTG (E)

Abstract

GPI standard products are in the form of products with couplings and pin caps. The applicable quality evaluation is based on API, ISO, ASTM, and AWWA standards, and all shipped products are passed or rejected by non-destructive load tests. Two types of test equipment are required: a quality performance confirmation test for multiple combined loads leading to failure, and a non-destructive test facility. The non-destructive test before shipment is based on a visual pass/fail judgment that is held for 2 minutes at 1.5 times the working load and no damage has occurred. Unlike the destructive test jig, the jig used for the test withstands hydraulic load with a rubber ring packing on the inner surface of a simple tube, and breakage or leakage is determined by a pressure meter for 2 minutes. The following is an explanation of the GPI standard test apparatus and test evaluation method.
