Abstract
I have already reported in this Review the position of the central and median points of population of Kagawa Prefecture. In this paper, I discussed the rate of population increase of 174 villages and cities in the same area, between 1919 and 1931, dividing these three years into the three periods, 1919-1923, 1923-1927, 1927-1931. The increase in rates were computed using Fehre's equation, that is
p=_??_
where p: rates of an increase of population in each period.
e1: population at the beginning of each period.
e2: population at the end of each period.
m: years in each period.
As the result I found certain characteristics in the changes in rates in these three periods, and certain topographical and geographical relations with them. There is moreover a pronounced tendency for villages and cities having increasing population rates of similar signs and numbers to get to lie nearer one another.
