For the purpose of studying the distribution of precipitation in a locality from the climatological point of view, twenty-seven rain-gauge stations were established in the district of Suwa-gun and its neighbourhood during August and September last year. In this way it was possible to explain the distribution of precipitation by considering the topographical conditions in that district.
