Abstract
IIII. Method of test for the bacteriostatic action of hardly soluble substances on acid-fast bacilli.
1. To test the bacteriostatic action of lipids on tubercle bacilli, I have prepared solid media, using egg yolk, an ingredient of the medium as solbent.
2. Using this media, we can test the bacteriostatic action of citronerall and seraniol etc. against tubercle bacilli of the human and bovine type.
3. It seems that this method can be used in the investigation of the bacteriostatic action of hardly soluble substances on acid-fast bacilli.
