Abstract
The cultivation of human and murine leprosy bacilli was carried out in test. tubes, capillary tubes and slide cell culture method with media of Kirchner, Lockemann, Long and Seibert and T. G. C. added with small quantity of serum, serumalbumin, CaCl2, polytamin, maliamin, milk, extract of squash and other substances, but no multiplication of bacilli was observed.
These results can not help confirm the report of Hanks that the multiplication of the leprosy bacillus in artificial media has never been certified up to now even by the microscopic examination.
