Abstract
The first experiment was dous with 3 mice. The auther cut the hair of the mice in a small area of the back and painted a suspension of leprous nodulus and at the same time rubbed there with a thin glass-stick for 30 minutes. In all Cases, several lepra bacilli were found in the tissues of the skin, and especially a lage number were found close by the heir follicle. 6 positive finding of the bacillus were obtaind in the Case of mouse "A", 4 in "B", and 5 in "C".
The second experiment was performed with 3 rabbits. The auther plucked the hair of the rabbits. and then painted an emulsion of leprous nodules for 30 minutes. In all cases, lepra bacilli were found within the skin tissues, that is to say, 8 positive finding were obtaind in No. 6 rabbits, 5 in No. 7, and 10 in No. 8. But contrary to the auther's expections, there was found only one bacillus in the destructed follicles.
