Abstract
Concerning the Ide's reaction in cases of lepers, has been made no report my discussion on the occasion of the eighteenth meeting of the Kinki Dermato-Urological society.
The author tried the Ide's reaction in 150 cases of lepers. In the same time Wasserman's reaction, Murata's pracititation reaction and so-called Tamiya's Zero method were performed for comparison with the former. From this study the author obtained very interesting results as follow:
1) The Ide's reaction appeared positive in 9.3% of all cases.
2) The positive reaction was observed in 3 formes of lepers in the following ratio
9.6% in 52 cases of nervous type
8.9% in 67 cases of macular type
9.6% in 31 cases of nodular type
3) The positive Ide's reaction with negative result of other three syphilitic tests was seen in 2 cases of nervous forms and one case of macular type.
4) The Ide's reaction also appears in cases of lepers without complication of syphilis.
