Data to the Malaysian liverwort flora, V: Marchantiopsida of Malaysia with emphasis on the genus Cyathodium (Cyathodiaceae)

Abstract

  We investigate two species of Cyathodium Kunze ex Lehm. (Cyathodiaceae) found in Malaysia, namely C. cavernarum Kunze ex Lehm. and C. foetidissimum Schiffn. We document the discovery of C. cavernarum in five new localities across Peninsular Malaysia, all within limestone caves, along with a distribution map. Additionally, we provide a key to the species of complex thalloid liverworts (Marchantiopsida) in Malaysia. The discussion includes the distribution and habitat of each species and the morphological variations among them and their related species.
