Abstract

This study identified six management maturity stages for developmental disabilities’ continuous work and human resource development. The maturity model was constructed by analyzing five superior corporate cases and surveys on the work situations of people with disabilities. The stages are avoidance, approach, essential compliance, personal support, supportive human resource development, and comprehensive inclusion. The next question is to clarify the effects of each stage’s characteristics on himself/herself, colleagues, workplaces, and organization, which will give feedback on the effectiveness of the maturity model.
