Hydrogen production through Methane Thermal Cracking (Turquoise Hydrogen)

Abstract

This article mainly outlines the technological trend of producing hydrogen through methane thermal cracking, known as turquoise hydrogen. It explains the technological advancement in and outside Japan, including Advancement of Hydrogen Technologies and Utilization Project executed by NEDO. Additionally, it describes the efforts of AIST in this field.
