The characteristics of animal husbandry and rangeland use in forestal Tibet:

An analysis from the viewpoint of daily grazing activities

Abstract

The land use and the occupation of mountain region have been analyzed from the viewpoint of "verticality" in culutural geography. In this study, I review the characteristic of animal husbandry and rangeland use of mountain region on the basis of my field research at eastern Himalayatheir. I focus on their daily grazing form, and consider the constraint of natural environment on the mountain pastoralism.
