This study aimed at clarifying the location change in hotels and the relationship between hotels and intra-urban structure in Sapporo. The data units of analyses were not buildings but companies of hotels and the study analyzed an operating start and discontinuance of hotel business. As a result, it turned out that many hotels of the Honshu capital came to be located in the whole central area in Sapporo. This fact showed that the characteristics as the branch economy came to be seen not only in basic industries but in support industries. Through the analyses, this study clarified the process, in which the dependence to the capital of other than Hokkaido became strong in the industry of Sapporo.
