Abstract

This paper considers the current condition of Japanese Islands, which is consistence of 6520 island, including 5 main lands. The paper observes the variation of islands and the economy of islands. From view point of population, dimension, structural differences of industries, and the author determines the several types of island economies. Also, the author prospects the future of the study and the Islands itself.
