Abstract

The feature of the radar reflection intensity from a small boat is shown experimentally. In this research, we carry out an experiment with the small boats using a developed radar image converting system that outputs reflection signals in 12bit, and find the following. (1) A fixed object shows stronger reflection intensity than small reflection object such as a small boat. (2) A small boat with a reflector shows stronger reflection intensity than that without a reflector. (3) The power ratio with a reflector becomes larger by some 10 – 20dBm, which shows the reflector works effectively.
