Visualization and Measurement of Flow Phenomena by NR methods

Abstract

  Neutron Radiography (NR) has been applied to visualization and measurement on hydraulic phenomena which are important for mechanical, nuclear and chemical enigineering. Since the attenuation chracteristics of neutron rays are quite different from those of X- and γ- rays, some hydraulic phenomena which are difficult to be visualized and measured by X- and γ- rays can be done by neutron rays. In this report, the applications of NR methods to various hydraulic phenomena were summerized briefly and the recent researches by the present author were reported.
