Development of Automated Nuclear Emulsion Scanning System “S-UTS” and Its Application

Abstract

  We have developed ultra high speed automated nuclear emulsion scanning system “S-UTS” for the OPERA experiment. In this paper, we present the essence of its mechanism and performance, recent result of the OPERA experiment and its application to particle radiography by using nuclear emulsion.
