Production of the radionuclides used for medical purposes

Abstract

We are in charge of developing novel production method for various radionuclides applied for both imaging and radiotherapy. To produce various radionuclides and their stable supply would be much important as a fundamental technology to support and progress the research subjects and clinical applications. Here describes our daily practice about radionuclide production for medical purpose, as well as our research activities to establish an effective target-activation strategy, namely vertical irradiation method coupled with a target vessel made of ceramics.
