The purpose of the research program is to provide review manuals and technical database for Ageing Management Technical Evaluation Reports performed by licensees of spent fuel reprocessing plants in accordance with ordinance on Periodic Safety Review.
Research programs have been conducted based on a contract with well-equipped organization since F. Y. 2006. One experimental subjects on ageing phenomena listed below in this program for the technological assessment of TOKAI plant, which have experienced many corrosion problems. TOKAI plant is the pilot plant for reprocessing service commissioned in Dec. 1980 and shifted to R&D in Apr. 2006.
