Abstract

Inelastic FEM analysis is carried out for a dissimilar welded pipe joint structure of SUS347H and 21/4Cr-1Mo steels under internal pressure.
This kind of joint is often applied to the superheater etc. of boiler.
Creep behavior of the joint structure is investigated for operating condition of boiler and its elevated temperature strength (creep-fatigue strength) is evaluated based on ASME Code Case N-47.
The creep strength of the analysed model joint is found to be higher than that of 21/4Cr-1Mo mother steel pipe.
