我が国初のLPガス地下岩盤タンクその技術的基礎

抄録

Construction of the first Underground Rock Cavern for LPG in Japan has been scheduled to commence on the original bill of the national budget for fiscal 1998.
We have no experienoe in stockpiling with underground cavern except for crude oil.
As is well known, at present there are more than one hundred large LPG stockpiling caverns throughout the world. But it is difficult to apply foreign technology directly to our plans because geological features in Japan are poor compare to the rest of the word, and use of land is very limited.
To satisfy the demand of safety with respect to the unique Japanese conditions, we have built-up the technical basis through more than ten years of research.
The following information is the summary of our technology and the background concerning the selection of the storage method.
