Abstract
I observed contacts between males of Rhacophorus schlegelii in the breeding season in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Larger and smaller males maintained contact for 30 seconds, but the other similar-sized males maintained contact for 50 minutes. I considered that calling “KIRIRI” was an advertisement call, and “KERE” and “KOT” were encounter calls.
