Abstract
Children who do not attend school often say that school is scary. Some of them have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, while others have not. Behind the words “school is scary”, they have potential anxiety. Understanding and supporting them is a daunting task. Therefore, based on the treatment theory and method of British Psychoanalyst Frances Tustin, I examine the therapy records of children who came to the Human Counseling Center of Chubu Gakuin University. As a result, I found that Tustin’s ideas were confirmed in all the following areas: in the world the child is experiencing, and in the therapist’s linguistic expression of the child’ s experience, and in the collaboration between the mother and the therapist.
Therapy been found to be effective for children and parents.
