Abstract
In finding a solution for e'ectrical problems mathematically, one frequently runs into unrelated terms the author advances the theory that by the use of difference equation, more reasonable solution will be obtained. With a simple difference equation for transmission circuit which can easily be changed to a straight line function, a few examples of the general application the diffecence equation are given for suspension insulators, multi-gap arresters, distribution of potential in the transformer windings, wave filter and loaded cables.
