The Grounds on a Transmission Line and the Principle of Superposition

Abstract

The convenience of applying the principle of superposition of currents and electromotive forces in investigating the phenomena resulting from an accidental ground and its opening on a transmission line, and in explaining the action of Petersen coil, is pointed out.
