Characteristics of an Induction Motor and its Transient Phenomena.

Abstract

The author's intention to this paper is to discuss the true circuit of the induction motor by the differential equations, and the characteristics of polyphase induction motor, especially the transient phenomena.
He discussed, first, general case of transient phenomena which occurs due to sudden change of supplying source of induction motor and generator, and few special cases, such as, switching in, witching off and sudden terminal short circuit & c. Finaly the numerical calculations and their comparison with experimental results by the actual machine are shown. Paper to be read before the meeting of Tokyo local section, on February, 1926.
