On the Distribution of the Magnetic Flux in the Cylindrical Iron Core

Abstract

In this investigation, the condition of the distribution of the magnetic fluex in the armature-core of D.C. and A.C. machineries is treated under the assumption that the armature is of the smooth core type.
The case of two different permeabilities is considered, and two special cases, of uniform permeability and with air-part, are introduced; then the obtained results are applied to the rotor and stator and the states of the magnetic flux distribution for these cases are shown with graphs and numericall calculations.
