International Standard Following to Globalization of Electric Power Technology

Abstract

Due to the globalization of electric power technology, international standard becomes more and more important because international standard such as IEC standard is typical international standard and recognized as most wide-spread standard. In this paper, recently revised IEC standard 60505 for thermal endurance test method of electrical insulation system is explained as one of the most basic test methods of electrical insulating materials under electrical, thermal, mechanical and environmental stress.
