In this paper,it was studied that class D grounding suitability of an earthing system using reinforcing bars in house foundations at cold area. It had been measured that the seasonal variation of earth resistance value in the three areas. Seasonal variation in the earth resistance value on the small model at cold area was between about 18 Ω and about 31 Ω. It was about 0.5 times it at non-cold area. The maximum value of the earth resistance in seasonal variation on a full-scale house at non-cold area was about 4 Ω. The maximum value of the earth resistance on a full-scale house at cold area can be expected less about 4 Ω. It can be said that the earthing system at cold area is expected as good earthing.
