Abstract
It is needed to evaluate the adaptation luminance in visual field under complex luminance distribution as real space, in order to propose safety visual environment. The adaptation luminance influences on scattering light in eyeball, and the scattering light in eyeball influences on age etc. We carried out experiment of two elder people to measure luminance difference threshold under visual field presenting high luminance surface. In this paper, we compared their data with ten young people's data which was reported previously. We considered about the influence of the age or the visual acuity on the luminance difference threshold, the adaptation luminance Increase and the effective luminance ratio. It is thought that as they get older, the luminance difference threshold or the adaptation luminance Increase becomes larger. But, it is thought that the visual acuity doesn't influence on the luminance difference threshold and the adaptation luminance Increase. It is also thought that the age doesn't influence on the effective luminance ratio.
