Visibility of LED headlight in fine weather and rain environment.

- Comparison between elderly and young observation on visual target -

Abstract

In recent years, the number of fatal traffic accidents the highest probability of rain day in night. So Headlight has an important role in order to driving safely at night. LED is at the center of attention because it has feature of energy saving and long life. As a new headlight, LED was used in the practical and it is expected to spread further. Unlike conventional light sources, LED can change the color of light with only one light source. However, It have not been research for the best color in the light of various street lighting conditions. In this study, the purpose is to examine experimentally of the optimal combination of street lighting and headlight color. And we created a variety condition of that, and compared between elderly and young observation on visual target.
