Library collections are increasing year by year. A large number of libraries, including the Keio University Medical Information and Media Center, have a space problem. Fortunately, Keio University has a storage facility far away from the campus. Older parts of the collection have been transferred to the storage library in 1994, 1998, and 1999. There have been no difficulties in accessing the old periodicals. For planning of such transfers, the library collection is reconsidered decennially by publication year. Publications of the 1980s and 1990s are a larage part of the collection. For the proper management and convenient use of the collection, decennial reconsideration of patterns of use is helpful.
