The Library of Kochi Medical School started to attempt to enrich and enhance our guidance on how to utilize library in 1999. First, we provided a practice lesson on information retrieval in the compulsory “Clinical Practice Basic Course” designed for senior students in the Medical Department, and second, we provided a lesson briefing freshmen how on to utilize library. In autumn 2000 we extended our goals to the offering of a variety of courses. We report on the response from the students, points to be improved, and the contents of our forthcoming courses. We also describe our future tasks.
