Abstract
A data hiding method for Error Diffusion images with keeping enough picture quality was proposed and studied for Jarvis weighting matrix. We presume original multi-tone images are not available when embedding and a random binary sequence is used as embedding data. To prevent the data embedding on text area, which usually causes strong damage to the image quality, simple area separation method by looking the surrounding pattern was introduced. By controlling the data embedding frequency, we succeeded to introduce the unnoticeable embedding rate for various images. The possible embedding rate being introduced was around 3-4% of whole pixels, which is almost double of the conventional methods.
