Abstract
We have performed a particle based simulation of deformation of the aorta and bleeding from the aorta by considering blood flow. The proposed method uses MPS method that can treat non-compressive blood and treats not only blood flow but also blood vessel wall of the aorta as a collection of particles for a unified solution. In addition, by treating constitutive equation of continuum as relational equation between two particles instead of neighbor particles, the method can avoid a complicated governing equation and solve the problem very fast by using constitutive equation and equation of motion. The simulation time of one step was about 200ms for the deformation simulation of the aorta for the model that consists of 15,000 particles of the aorta and 7,000 particles of the blood under the PC that has Core2Quad Q9550 CPU and GeForce9800GT GPU.
