Japanese Experiment Module - Pressurized Module (JEM-PM) was launched to the International Space Station (ISS) on the STS-124 (1J) in June 2008. The KOBAIRO rack developed by IHI Aerospace (IA) under the contract with Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) was installed on JEM-PM in January 2011. This report describes a Gradient Heating Furnace (GHF) and sample cartridges developed for microgravity experiments.
