Abstract
Difficulty of getting a graphite cruxible promotes us to melt the bronze by using a cupola furnace. The bronze melting cperation were carried out in our foundries. Taking advantage of the lessons learned in the cast iron melting, this kind of cupola operation had many improvements compared with a Morgan operation. It has been shown that the cupola melting of bronze is operated easily even if using a bad quality coke, but its melting loss is comparatively large. (N. T.)
