Abstract
Effects of welding method on the sand erosion resistance in the Fe-(15, 25) mass % Cr-(3.1, 3.8) mass % C-3 mass % Ni white cast iron hardfacing alloys depsited by manual TIG welding and Gas welding were studied by measuring the wear loss and compared with that of sand erosion resistance of unidirectional solidified alloys. The sand erosion resistance of hardfacing alloy deposited by TIG welding and Gas welding are almost same to that of unidirectional solidified alloys. The wear loss of hardfacing alloys deposited by TIG welding is a little superior to that of hardfacing alloys deposited by Gas welding, while there is not large difference for the sand erosion resistance in both weldings.
